a bad start and end...

Nov. 30 - I ended the month not being able to go home for our town fiesta because we had our first monthly recollection. Maybe fate just don't want me to. It's already a month since my last home visit. Haay. Seems like I don't miss home. The Saturday night 'til Sunday noon we had a silent recollection. It was fruitful. We had a great sharing with other dormers of the university. It was time for us to take a deep breath and look back to our lives - how was it. Love. It was the theme. God loved us first. WE should love our neighbors as we love ourselves. But I realized that I don't love God because i don't love my neighbors. I have foes and hate them. Anyone who says he loves God but does not love his neighbors is a great LIAR!

Dec. 1 - I woke up late. I haven't attended mass. My first absence for the month. Haay. It was a day where i had nothing to do that's productive. Just spend my whole morning washing my clothes. And slept for the rest of the day. I did not meet my classmates for us to make a parol for the lantern. HOPE WE'LL WIN so that we'll be EXEMPTED for the midterms. But it seems remote. HUh. Start of the Chirstmas month and a matter of 24 days before The Day. But. I did not even notice it.

It was really a bad and boring end. A not-so-good start!.

Prelims is on Wednesday and i haven't flip a single note! Hell of me. I guess this semester will be horrible for me...

Reproductive Health Bill - views and issues

The Bill is authored by Edcel Lagman. One of the biases about it is that it is legalizing abortion. If you will read the bill wholly, you won't see any provisions about it being pro-abortion. In fact, it reiterates that abortion is against the law.

We had this discussion last night and it turned out that 10 out of 12 provisions or main issues in the bill were good like promotion of breastfeeding, maternal care, prevention of STDs and infertility, etc. The only 2 mainstream issues where we had this separate views is that of the RIGHT TO INFORMATION AND ACCESS OF NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL CONTRACETIVE METHODS. and that of EDUCATION OF THE YOUTH ABOUT SEX.

The Church is saying that using contraceptive especially the artificial ones is immoral because it just "demonizes" the very purpose of the sexual act which is procreation and mutual self-giving between the married couples. ut one of us said that natural and artificial methods has the SAME PURPOSE that is AVOIDING PREGNANCY so basically both desecrate or violate the purpose of that act. So the question is, what the difference the two of them? Also, the bill is not foregoing the natural methods. It just offers an alternative if the natural ont work so use the artificial.

Another is about educating the youth from grade 5 to high school. The contention is it will just lead to the curiosity of the youth about it and so explore! But what will we choose AWARENESS or IGNORANCE?

The bill has many involved issues that you cannot say absolutely YES or NO.

sometimes...

Sometimes, it's better to cut all the ties with a person that had brought more bad things than good ones. Though the relationship will just be a waste yet when it is ended it will bring you such a great peace, peace that you had barely experienced because of that person.

It's hateful when someone you thought cares will just but rebut and find even the smallest mistake in every word you are uttering. It is really hard to be with a person who thinks like a perfect being, someone who wants the world to operate the way he wanted to.

Obama! Obama! Yes, We Can!

After months of grueling debates, questioning of credentials, policies and programs, Barack Obama emerged to the 44th and first black president of the USA, the greatest nation on Earth, as John McCain, his rival said in his conceding speech.

Obama, the junior senator from Illinois defeated McCain in a landslide victory, winning key battleground states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and turning traditional red (Republican) states like Colorado, New Mexico, Indiana, North Carolina into blue (Democratic).

After winning the presidential election, Obama will face great challenges that will test his ability to lead and bring back to prosperity the presently downed US. Awaiting him are the problems of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, US recession, unemployment and instability.

A what Obama has said, "Yes, we can" and he will and he should...

Obama is hoped to change the image of America to a less arrogant one as brought by the Bush administration... Chance should not permit Obama to be in line with Lincoln, JFK, King Jr. and other great changemaker who were assasinated for there are rumors that there are plot to kill him. (Wag naman sana!)

Go Obama!
